You know when you see what something cost and have to read the number twice?
Then you find out it doesn’t even work.
That’s the sort of thing I post about. Our money going on things that never turn up, projects that somehow get more expensive every time anyone asks, and the people stuck waiting for what they were promised.
There’s usually an explanation. Whether it’s a good one is another matter.

I’d quite like things to work.
The bus. The hospital. The website that cost a fortune and still won’t let you log in. It really shouldn’t be too much to ask.
I don’t care which party’s name is on it. If they’ve made a mess, I want to know who made the decisions—and what happens to everyone else afterwards.
And if something actually works? Good. I’ll happily say so. Being permanently furious sounds exhausting.
Obviously, I want the receipts.
A massive number on its own doesn’t tell you much. I want to know what was actually spent, what it bought and what’s missing from the story.
So yes, there will be links to long reports. You don’t have to read all of them. But you should be able to check what I’m saying.
